Enjoy travel, have seen much of the United States. Favorite places include northern Michigan, coastal Michigan, Carolina coast, Florida for spring training baseball.
I read most of the children's series Tom Swift, Rick Brant, Hardy Boys, then moved to Earl Stanley Gardner, Ellery Queen, Margaret Truman, etc. Got hooked on cozy when I came across JoAnna Fluke in the library.
Perry Mason, Jesse Stone, Donna Leon’s Brunetti, current favorite is the Father Matteo series.
-Do you have a fav book that you reread from time to time? No, I can’t keep up with the new books coming out.
Spencer Quinn’s Chet and Bernie, Carolyn Hart's Max Darling.
I was forced into retirement at 56. Took a while to adjust but once I realized I could afford not working full time, I saw this as a blessing to be able to do what I wished and help others. My health keeps me from going full speed, but I volunteer with the Salvation Army Disaster Services, help run the red kettle drive, share the warmth coat drive, and distributing food to seniors. With the local humane society I help with special events and adoptions, educating public about disaster preparedness. With Humane Society of the United States I volunteer with animal rescues, and respond to disasters. I’m also a ring steward at dog shows.
