Happy Thanksgiving!

From THE COZY CHICKS to our friends and readers: we are thankful for you!

May you all have a wonderful day, full of blessings to be thankful for and, of course, delicious things to eat and fabulous books to read - wherever you live.  We know that outside North America, this isn't a perhaps a holiday, but we hope it's wonderful day anyway.  The Canadians have already celebrated but some, ahem, might celebrate a bit more today.

Please let us know what you are thankful for today and how you celebrate!

I am so very thankful after a really hard couple of years dealing with an injury, housing issues, and whatnot.... I have a job, a place to live, and just yesterday when my old van pooped out on my way home from work after midnight in the bad area of town... my boss gave me one of the families cars - another van. I can drive it while I figure out what to do with mine and they will let me buy it for cheap. Wow. I have my family by choice all around me, and although I am not hosting my normal feast... I am going to enjoy a year off!

I wish you all a verry happy Thanksgiving! I am starting a new job on monday, and it is very exciting. After over 24 years of the same job, I took the plunge this summer to apply somewhere else. So yes, scary, but they really want me, and that is a good feeling.

I go to a local church for a free dinner and since they will not take any money, I make a donation to the local food pantry instead.

So glad things are going better and you have a good boss. The writer in me noted the van pooping out in a bad part of town after midnight. Yikes! You deserve your year off!

Hugs,
