Hot Halloween Bikers

I've always had a fascination with bad boys. And what's badder than a biker. To me, they signify freedom from constraints that the rest of us have to wear like chains. Speaking of chains, bikers and chains go together like biker chicks and trash stamps.

Did I mention that my last boyfriend (before my lasting boyfriend) rode a Gold Wing? So I know for a fact - the air smells fresher from a motorcycle seat and the wind blows away any lingering worries.

And here in Wisconsin, Harley country, bikers are everywhere. I like bikers so much, I gave Story Fischer (in Buzz Off) a Hog riding boyfriend.

During these last weeks of fall leading up to Halloween, you'll see them on the country roads. I took these photos on one of those back roads. Aren't they cool!

Very cool pictures!
One time when we were traveling to the Grand Canyon we had plans to stay in Williams, AZ. As we got closer to the town we kept have biker after biker pass us. When we got to the town they had a big banner up to welcome the "Hog Rally." It was so cool. That evening we walked the streets and checked out all the bikes. The people were great, and it sure made our nights stay in Williams a lot of fun.

Oh, I'm a big fan of Bad Boys on bikes. In fact, I put a Bad Boy from the Past into my Molly Malone mystery. And-----he even had a bike.

But----I don't think I'd like to take a ride with one of these dudes in the photos. I'll pass.

Love the biker dudes - but I'm not riding on the back until they get more skin on their bones ;)

Love the photos. That will be husband some day. I think he wants to be buried with his Harley.

For some reason still unknown to me, the town where I live attracts swarms (herds?) of bikers, particularly on weekends. It's kind of hard to miss when twenty or so unmuffled dudes pass by together (and leave me wondering where they're all going). So far I haven't felt the urge to investigate.

Love the pics! Reminds me of the song "Ghost Riders in the Sky"! (Yeah, I know, that was about cowboys, but the premise is close enough!) My brother has a bike, and some of my in-laws, too. Good times!

Ever seen or ridden a bike called the "Boss Hogg"? I think they're manufactured in Dyersburg, TN (or least they used to be) and they have a V-8 car engine on them. Monster bikes!

When I was in high school, many many years ago, I had an older bad boy friend who rode a Harley Indian. I thought he was very cool, and I loved the low rumble of the bike's engine. I still turn my head whenever I hear an old Harley.

Deb - I just finished Buzz Off and loved the read! Her biker boyfriend - so cool. Her Mother - classic. And take me to her store, please. Must know if the town is based on a real one...

I'll take a fictional biker over a real one. I grew up in Milwaukee and have an eerie experience in the Harley mansion. I will not be seen on a motorcyle anymore. My butt is still vibrating from summer rides on the back of my high school boyfriend Freddie's Honda down Wisconsin highways. He tried to teach me to drive it. Plop.

Rochelle, Moraine is loosely based on Monches and Merton, very close to where I live in North Lake. Thanks for reading my book!

Great pics! Halloween is an upcoming festival here in Holland, but something like this will take a few more years I guess.
Happy Halloween to you all!
