Color Pairings

Yesterday I received a wonderful gift—this beautiful quilt square pictured beneath the group of Yellow ware bowls. It was made by our own Dru Ann Love and sent to me as an early birthday gift. Isn’t it filled with warmth?

Looking around my down stairs, there were many places where this treasure could go because I’ve used the cranberry and mustards hues in several rooms.

Shoot, even my pets fit in with my color pairing!

This post is mostly pictorial but I wondered if anyone else had a color pairing that repeats over and over in your house?

The quilt looks beautiful under the bowls on your table. I always love to see what others do with the quilts.

I tend to pair colors in each room, most will be shades of blue.

The quilt is lovely and it does fit beautifully in your home. I yellow, coffee, and cool blue tend to show up in my house.

I'm an Army wife so my house is mostly red white and blue. Very easy to add to and so much better than olive drab.

Blue and Green or Red and Khaki seem to be the repeating color schemes in my house! :)

I think it's important to match your furniture to your pets. They spend so much time there, they're basically living art. :)

Dru - the quilt is lovely!!

Color chaos is more like it in my place. Dru, the quilt is gorgeous, warm, yet serene. Your pairings work beautifully, Jennifer.

Lovely quilt...I scooted over from cozy discussion just to see it. Happy Birthday pumpkin!
I have used the same color paint in every room (ex. bathrooms and kitchens) for the last 3 residences. It's Golden Glow and I love it. I have mostly yellows and gold, some dark red and black. In fact, everything in your pix would work nicely in my house!

I am also lucky enough to have one of Dru's centerpieces. My living room/dining room are blue and tan (light khaki), my family room is sage green and cream, the kitchen which sits between is wallpapered with solid cranberry below a print of blue, sage green, and cranberry on a cream background. And there, on the kitchen table, sits Dru's lovely, mostly cranberry, centerpiece.

Dru, the quilt is beautiful. And it goes so well with the color scheme in JB's house. Perfect! As for our house, blue is the color that tends to show up a lot.

My house is a hodgepodge of color.

Not only is your quilt square beautiful but also the whole house.

Happy Birthday!

We have a ton of tan, blues (of different shades depending on the room), and some green. Our walls are tan and all the trim is natural wood. It's so pretty. :)

Dru, another amazing quilt! Love it. Jennifer, my office would fit perfectly into your house. The rest of my house is mostly green--we thought about selling a while ago and neutralized everything. Alas, we're staying. The kids' rooms are very colorful, and my daughter's turquoise room is my favorite in the house. So happy in there.

Dru, what a lovely piece, and what beautiful work! Happy Birthday, Jen - when is it?

Cranberry, gold, and brown in my living room and library; blues and white in the master bedroom and bath; white, pale grey, and black in my photo studio/guest room; white, red and green in the kitchen. Rosemary, who makes the Golden Glow paint you use? It sounds like what my living room walls need.

Lovely colors throughout your house. Very nifty how the cat color coordinates so wonderfully. *smile*

Colors in my house are very similar, warm browns, reds, creamy yellows with splashes of Barbie and Backyardigans (7 year old daughter).
