This is my favorite summer salad and I cannot wait to hear you creative people come up with some mean and mysterious names for this recipe:
1 quart halved strawberries
2 ounces of slivered almonds
2 ounces of sliced almonds, toasted (toaster over is easy)1/3 c. sugar
1/4 c. apple cider vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. chopped sweet onion
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 T. poppy seeds
Toast almonds at about 400 degrees (watching carefully. I have burned many an almond in my day). Combine spinach, both kind of almonds and strawberries in large bowl, cover and chill. Combine sugar, venegar, onion paprika and Worcestershire in blender or food processor. Slowly add the oil. Then stir in poppy seeds. Put in jar and chill. Add dressing right before serving.
If you do not want to go to the trouble of making the dressing, I have found that Brianna's Red Wine and vinegar dressing (the bottle with the strawberry on it) works VERY well. YUM!
So ... can you can up with a mystery name for this awesome summer salad?

This one I have to pass on since I'm allergic to almonds and can't even think of anything - since the title of the posting pretty much says it all.
You ladies are having way toooooo much fun with the recipes - lol.
Will check back tomorrow for another recipe. - E :)

Okay, I'm putting the bacon (yum, yum) back in it. LOL. Sounds absolutely delicious and perfect for a hot summer, er, spring day. Supposed to be 88* here today! Might be time for the air conditioning.

Ugg..I am totally drawing a blank on this one but I like Ellery's name a lot! :)
I have been wracking my brain all day and I can't come up with anything remotely entertaining. I do love the salad, although I use walnuts instead of almonds and I make a strawberry vingrette to go on it. Okay, Delicious Death is all I've got. LOL
