Since the beginning of time, humans across all nations and cultures have struggled to find and hold on to peace and goodwill. So far, we've failed. But each one of us can make a difference by the way we live our own lives; in the examples we set, in the choices we make, in every act of kindness we offer. Here's hoping this season brings you inner peace and grace, and renewed strength to continue the quest for a world at peace in the year ahead ~ Deb
The Cozy Chicks will be back on January 3rd.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy New Year to one and all!
Peace on Earth???
Aren’t humans amazing Animals? They kill wildlife - birds, deer, all kinds of cats, coyotes, beavers, groundhogs, mice and foxes by the million in order to protect their domestic animals and their feed.
Then they kill domestic animals by the billion and eat them. This in turn kills people by the million, because eating all those animals leads to degenerative - and fatal - - health conditions like heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, and cancer.
So then humans spend billions of dollars torturing and killing millions of more animals to look for cures for these diseases.
Elsewhere, millions of other human beings are being killed by hunger and malnutrition because food they could eat is being used to fatten domestic animals.
Meanwhile, few people recognize the absurdity of humans, who kill so easily and violently, and once a year send out cards praying for "Peace on Earth."

Deb,
A perfect post to begin the day! Happy Holidays to all and may 2010 be your best year yet!
Wonderful thoughts Deb. Hope all the Cozy Chicks have a safe and Happy Holidays.
Gee, anonymous, didn't you get the gist of Deb's post--that every one of us can make a difference in this world? Instead of ranting, why don't YOU make a difference. Try a little kindness in your approach. Ever hear the cliche "you get catch flies with sugar than honey" (and no, I'm not advocating KILLING flies. They're necessary to maintain the eco system).
Chill out. Work for peace instead of spreading dissatisfaction and vitriol. That's what the Cozy Chicks are all about.
Thank you Deb for the beautiful post. Yes, we can make a difference with the choices we make in how we live our lives, and treat others (whether it be with friends/family, strangers, or even comments on a blog).
I wish you, and all the Cozy Chicks a truly beautiful holiday season and a very happy new year. I look forward to "seeing" you all again on January 4th!
Human beings are full of irony, so Anonymous's point is well taken. But thank goodness we have this wonderful holiday time to remind us that our goal should be peace on earth and good will toward all mankind. Let's celebrate that and vow to make a difference in the coming year, whether through charitable work, donations, or however we can. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our faithful friends.
Thanks for your post, Deb. Here's hoping that your holiday is everything you want it to be. And to all the cozy chicks!
