My Web Site Contest!

This is a super simple contest, my friends! I wanted to show off all of my webmaster's hard work and invite you to peruse my new website at http://www.jbstanley.com/.
Please feel free to share your opinion of the site. I added a new recipe section at the request of a faithful (and wise) reader and will continue to
update that page as my characters cook up new delights.

But if there's any content that's hard to read or confusing, let me know that too. I'd like the site to be as cozy as the books! :)

THE CONTEST: All you need to do is comment on a fact found on the website to earn a chance to win a signed galley of Stirring Up Strife, the first book in the Hope Street Church mystery series. I only have one of these galleys left and this means you can read the book before it's even published!

Don't worry if your fact is the same as someone else's (i.e. how many cats I own). We're not that particular around here. I will also send refrigerator magnets to ten runners-up. Good luck!

Thanks for the chance to win one of your books. I'll go check it out.

The fact that you worked at an auction gallery could lead to some interesting tidbits for your books.
Love the new site and the recipes (oh, Dark Chocolate Banana Bread, be still my heart).

The pumpkin crisp squares are going to be at my house. I love the art work. The website looks great.

I so look forward to your new series. The web site looks great. I didn't know your first name was Jennifer- so what's the "B" for?

I like the website. It's homey looking and has lots of information without being "busy". And, I've discovered that you authored 3 new (to me) cozy series that I need to read.

Thanks!
Riva

Wow, an MA in English Lit! I wanted to do that but couldn't figure out what I could do with it, besides teach. Neat contest, J.B.; thanks for the opportunity!

Joan,

The "B" is for "Briggs" (my maiden name). When my antique series debuted, I thought I might capture some male readers if I kept my gender hidden. Of course, that lasted for about two weeks! :)

I like the feel and look of your website.

I didn't know you have 3 book series. Cool! I'm going to check them out.

Your new main character is Cooper Lee. Is that a quasi-reference or homage to Harper Lee?

I LOVE your books. I really like the addition of the recipe section. I hear the chocolate mocha cake calling my name. YUMMY :)

What a great website. I've bookmarked the page. I love the cozy pictures on the homepage. It makes me wish we had a fireplace in our house to curl up in front of with a good book. The recipes look yummy, and I might try my hand at making Dark Chocolate Banana Bread.

I look forward to your new series. I find the concept interesting and will have to add yet another series to my TBR list.

The website is great! Very easy to read and to use! I'm looking forward to the new Hope Street Church Mystery series, and am glad to see that it looks like there won't be a terribly long wait between the first and second books in it. I don't cook or bake, but those Key Lime Cookies and the Dark Chocolate Raspberry concoctions just may have to be tried anyway!

What a good looking website Jennifer and the cover on the new book is wonderful! This looks like a series I am going to love. I'm not sure if you actually meant the cats part or not but you have three. : ) I'd sure love to win that signed galley.

I LOVE the new site. It's very warm and inviting. I'm sitting in front of my fireplace as I type this. Your a jack of all trades, master of many! Teaching 6th graders is not easy.

I can't wait to start this new series. I'm sure I'll love it as much as I adore the Super Club series. I've actually had this book on my PBS wish list since May :)

I would like to comment on the fact that you are starting a new series! I loved the Collectible Mystery series and really enjoy the Supper Club Mystery series. Now I got a whole new series to read!

I am really looking forward to your new series, JB. I lead a group of genuine characters in a Bible study for my church, and it will be interesting to see how the dialog in your book goes (though I hope to never encounter a murder with my group!).

We have something in common, I have a BA in literature. It was enough to make me a teacher, and an aspiring writer. I love the look and layout of your webpage.

I love all your books and buy all of them. PLUS my husband just asked me for a divorce. PLEASE send me a free book!!

3 cats means that you have 3 less than I do. But we do share a MA in English Lit in common :-)

I’d passion to ascertain that too!

Love the website. I hadn't realized you were a librarian, too. That's so cool!

Lindy,

You are my winner! Please email me at jbstanleyauthor@comcast.net with your address! Anyone interested in a Stirring Up Strife refrigerator magnet should do the same. I will try to mail them out this weekend!

Thanks for all of the wonderful feedback on the website! You are all awesome!

Since you're an e-Bay junkie, you might be able to work those experiences into your books.

Thanks for a contest.

One thing I noticed is that in the header picture, 'read my blog' is cut off. This is on both the computers I used, at home and at work. I can only see the tops of the letters on 'my blog'.

The website is beautiful - and so user friendly! I like the ability to click a link and go directly where I really wanted to go! The recipes - I swoon! You have a wonderful thing going here - the contest, the books, the website.
