And A Merry Christmas To All...

Okay, I admit it. I'm not so shocked seeing Christmas decor for sale in September anymore. Years past have made me immune.

But what does shock me is me. How I willingly veer down one aisle in particular: Christmas and holiday cards.

I love them. I can spend tons of times sorting through various boxes, reading cheery messages. In fact, I spent quite a bit of time in Target the other day, just taking a peek at what's out there.

But I didn't buy any.

Over the last couple of years, I've bought my cards primarily through charities. My favorite place is National Wildlife Federation. After that is the SPCA and various Humane Societies. I just figured if I was going to spend a fortune on cards, I might as well do some good as well.

This year I have my heart set on the yawning sea otter. I have a soft spot for sea otters, so it really is a no-brainer. Though, the harp seal is oh-so-adorable, too! I might have to get both. And all I have to do is place the order... I know it's only October, but hey, at least I haven't bought any presents yet.

Have you?
