Nature never ceases to amaze me. Last weekend I was in Door County, Wisconsin for a little R&R with hubby, when we wandered into a flower garden and discovered our first hummingbird moth. It was half the size of a hummingbird and flew from flower to flower on extremely rapid wings. Good thing my husband is a semi-professional photographer because my little point-and-shoot wouldn't have done the job. Isn't it gorgeous!
to watch this little wonder in action, I found a you tube video.
Today make time to be outside. Who knows what you will find. Have a great day.
p.s. my newsletter went out yesterday, in which I made a suggestion to gather flowers and grasses along the roadsides to gift to a friend. How dumb was that! I was thinking Queen Anne's Lace, Ragweed, and Clover, but I have to warn you, if you don't know what you are picking, you might take a protected species and get yourself into trouble, legally and with the land owner. So I retract that suggestion. Best to buy them at your farmers market.
