That's what my Arkansas-born father always called them. Whether taters or potatoes, I have a serious addiction. Potato chips, French fries, American fries, this way, that way, any way. I love them, ever since I was pregnant with my first baby. No pickles for me. I ate potatoes.

So when I invited 15 guests for Easter dinner, I knew exactly what potato dish to serve with the ham. This is the best there is and I'd like to share it with you. Warning: NOT fat-free! but quick, easy, and delicious.

2 lb. hash browns
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 T. minced onion
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 pt. sour cream
2 c. grated cheddar cheese

2 c. corn flakes
1/2 c. melted butter

Thaw potatoes. Mix together with all ingredients except the topping. Place in large baking dish. Mix topping and spread over potato mix. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

If you have a favorite potato dish, tell me, tell me.
