*Today is one of my favorite days of the year, when winter turns to spring. Doesn’t it always feel like winter drags on and on and on? Okay, maybe that’s just me. But have to say I’m happy about the daffodils and hyacinth that are blooming in my front yard (I’d have a picture but it’s dark out now because I procrastinated in writing my blog—so maybe later!).
*Our new PC was hooked up this week, thank goodness. The only downside is that the new computer comes with Minesweeper, a complete evil and addicting game that was, when we had it on our very first computer (RIP), wholly responsible for my first ever experience with carpal tunnel. I’ve been trying to limit my games, but I hate losing…and I lose a lot.
*I’m still pecking away at the thriller and have to tell you, it’s a whole new world of research. Had to look up how to drain a body of blood the other day. Yeah. I know. Well, in my search (where a lot of vamire-y sites came up), I also came across a mortuary site that had a Q&A on embalming. Let’s just say that I learned more than I ever wanted to know, and that I’ll never look at sewer systems the same way again.
*Anyone watching American Idol? Who’s your favorite? I have to say, this is the first year where I actually think all the contestants have talent. Frontrunners for me are Adam and Danny, and I have a soft spot for Anoop. Also love Megan’s voice (so different!), but don’t think she has a chance of winning.
*Have I mentioned that I now have two teenagers driving? Prayers, please.
*Gina, who came up with the last name O'Brian last week, please email me your snail mail addy at email@example.com so I can send you Weeding Out Trouble.
Until next week,
