A Hello from an Old Friend

Buisness first--the winner off my entry from the relaunch blog is Lisa DeGross. My son picked a number between 1-35 and he chose 32. You were the 32nd comment, Lisa. Congrats! Please e-mail me your address at michele@michelescott.com so that I can send your prizes.

Okay, so I told you that I would continue on with ghostly matters this week and so...I will. First off, I have to tell you about something strange that happened on Tuesday afternoon. Remember how I'd mentioned my friend Hillarie and how I hadn't felt her around for a long time and thought she'd passed on...Yeah, welllllll, I think I was wrong. I keep her picture on my fridge and often I look at it, talk to her and wish she were still here. After last week's entry, I started paying a bit more attention to her picture again. I said, "hi," to her while cooking dinner, and told her I missed her. The next afternoon while checking my e-mail the first e-mail subject read, "Toast to Hill." I opened it and saw it was from another one of her friends. I started reading it. The e-mail was talking about how much she missed Hillarie and couldn't believe it had been a year without her. She hoped we were all off to a good summer and hoped we could get together to toast Hillarie's life. I was thinking "good summer?" Hello! It's January! And Hill has been gone for over two years now. Then I looked at the sent date and it was from July 2007! No joke. All of the other e-mails were from the current date (Tuesday). I guess she wanted to let me know that she was still around, just a bit more quiet these days.

I had planned this week to tell you a different ghost story, but I had to share Hillarie giving me a wave from the other side. It may sound crazy but I can't explain it, so all I can say is that I believe she was checking in and letting me know she's always close by.

I love all the ghostly shares. Keep them coming. Ever feel like a loved one who has passed is close by? Many of you have said that you do. How does it make you feel? What do you think about death, and does having someone who has passed on be in touch with you, give you a different perspective about life and death than what you may have had prior to the paranormal experience? Please share.
