Sort of. I admit it’s been so long that I’ve almost stopped feeling guilty about not posting. Almost.
But guilt is a useless emotion they tell me. “They” meaning everyone except my parents. They understand the true value of guilt. That’s why I pay them the big bucks.
It’s not like I don’t have plenty of valid reasons: deadlines, gigs, family obligations, travel — yeesh! It’s been a killer year so far. A good year, but…tiring. It’s definitely hard to keep up with things like gardening (and laundry).
Anyway, I’m just trying to get myself back into the rhythm of this. It’s summer — well, it feels like summer — and I have that urge to skive off. I just want to find a cool corner and settle down with a stack of books and an endless supply of ice tea. It’s so long since I sat and just read. I miss reading.
The last time I posted on this topic, I was startled to hear how many of you also feel like you have no time — or attention span — for reading.
So let’s try it again and see if things have improved at all. What are you all reading? Anything good? Anything you feel like sharing with the rest of us?
Or how about this? What’s your favorite mystery novel so far this year
