* Winner from last week’s blog: Though all your DIY projects were majorly impressive, I had to choose Marianne, because I’m also sewing challenged. The needle? The mustard? A complete hot dog costume? Wow. Send your snail mail address to me at heather@heatherwebber.com, Marianne, and I’ll get your goodies out to you. (And it had nothing to do with the sucking up, but thank you!)
* Had a great time on tour with The Deadly Divas, Marcia Talley and Denise Swanson. For those of you who read Denise’s books, the DD’s visited Coal City, IL, the inspiration for Scumble River and met Denise’s family – all of whom are characters in her books. What fun, matching people to characters! And if you ever get a chance to hear Marcia tell the story of what inspired Through the Darkness, it’ll give you chills.
* I’m off to St. Louis tomorrow. I’ll be signing books with Shelley Galloway, Melanie Hauser, and Judy Larsen @ 2 pm at Mid Rivers Mall if anyone wants to pop in. On Sunday is the MS walk. There’s still time to donate, and a BIG thank you to those who already did.
* I have been incredibly productive this week, writing-wise (don’t ask about the state of my house). I’m working on the second Lucy book, and putting finishing touches on a women’s fiction proposal. Cross your fingers for that one. I really love that story and hope it finds a home.
* I’m so sad about Skybus. RIP.
* I did it. I bought a journal. And so far I’ve done well keeping up with it. I think come twenty years from now it’s going to be fun to read. As of right now it’s pretty boring, as my life is rather ordinary.
Maybe I should make stuff up?

Your tour sounds fun! And all cozy chick readers should check out your Bleeding Hearts blog to see what you ate while on tour! Yum!
Yay on the productive writing! Yay!
I’d say fly American (as I do) but they’re not real popular with passengers this week…

LOL on American, Laura. I’m crossing my fingers United is okay, or I might be late for Malice…

Forgot to mention that I met Cathy, a regular poster here, last weekend at a little book shop in Elgin, Ill. So great to put a name to a face, and she’s just as nice in person. I tried talking her into coming to Malice to meet all the Cozy Chicks…
Thanks for coming to the signing, Cathy!

My, but you are one busy chick!
I wish I lived closer so I can come to your book signing. It sounds SO fun!!
Went to my conference last weekend. It was great but crowded with 0ver 1700 women at the Rhode Island Convention Center! And then there was the fly fishing convention in the same place. Poor guys….being surrounded by oodles of beautiful women……life’s tough!
I wish you a safe…and quick…journey!

Married life with Mr. Heather Webber is “boring”? When did you finally reach this conclusion?

That’s cool about visiting Coal City, IL. I actually just finished Murder of a Chocolate-Covered Cherry last night. I really enjoyed the story, but since it was the first Scumble River book I’d read, I felt like I was missing a lot with regards to the characters’ relationships. I’m going to have to go back and read the earlier books. (But drowning in a chocoalte fountain, what a way to go LOL)

Debbie, LOL on the fly fishing convention. Probably a hardship for all of you women, too!
Theo, tsk tsk.
Melissa, the books are worth going back. I just started Cherry… And yeah, death by chocolate. Torture.

Man, you sure are racking up the miles this month, Heather! Glad you had fun on the DD Tour, and I’m sure you’re psyched about the St. Louis signing & MS Walk.
I wish I could join y’all, but you know I’ll be cheering you on in spirit! My MS Walk in Tyler last month was my first ever 5K—it was a fabulous time and a great learning experience in fundraising. Oh, and it also taught me how finicky digital cameras can be! Heh. (Hush up, Theo)
Have a great time this weekend with Laura and all the gang! Looking forward to another great report, with pictures, of course!
Go, MSKeteers!!!!!

The mileage is adding up, Texas Lynn. I’m flying to Malice, though, so that will be a nice break from being on the road.
The MS walk was great. A little chilly, but a big turnout, and lots of fun. I think Laura is posting pictures tomorrow on her blog.
Off to catch up on email…

Wow, that is just too cool. I won something! And since I’ve religiously entered the BookEnds, LLC first one hundred word contest here lately and won diddily squat, I’m even more thrill. I seriously need to learn how to write (sigh)
Thanks so much Heather. My son isn’t too thrill to have the story out there in public, but I’m tickled pink. Will email you my addy. Can’t wait for the book and goodies!
Again, thanks. Safe travels.
