    Deadline Fever

    Diana Killian Icon

I’m calling in sick to the blog today. I’ve got a bad case of deadline fever. Oh yeah, the aches, the pains, the stuffy — so very stuffy — head, the watery eyes…watery from staring and staring at the computer screen, the runny nose from crying my eyes out.

Well, no. It’s not quite that bad. Yet. But I’m definitely feeling feverish — it gets like that in the home stretch. And any interruption sets my temperature rocketing even higher — and my temper with it. I don’t want — can’t, really — stop for anything. I eat with my plate resting between my lap and my laptop…

I’m not exercising, and yesterday I didn’t even shower. Should I admit that outloud?

    Probably not.

Anyway, see you all next week when hopefully the fever will have passed and a cooler, calmer cozy chick will appear from the ashes.

    3. Thanks, Maggie!

I’ve got the paper bag over my head even as we speak! Now the next yoga book is due…

Well, in theory this IS my day job, but the hours are as bad or worse than they used to be. Of course I like this a lot better — even when I want to scream.
