* As some of you may know, my good friend and mystery author Laura Bradford was recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Though she battles the disease every day, she’s taking her fight to the street. Literally. Laura is organizing a group of authors and readers to take part in a MS walk in St. Louis in April to raise money to win the war against this disease. She’s currently running a contest on her blog for a team name, and as soon as that is chosen donations can be made on the team’s MS webpage. I’ll post the link as soon as I know it. All the details can be found on her blog.
* Happy Leap Year! This is one of my favorite days, though I couldn’t really tell you why. It just is. I’m going to do my best to enjoy this extra time.
*The Agatha nominations are out! Congratulations to all the nominees. It’s a great honor and so very exciting.
* I was sad for the “Hopelessly Devoted” girl getting kicked off American Idol last night. I thought she sang really well. But maybe I’m biased—I love “Grease” and the country-ish nature of her voice.
* I should be getting the cover for Weeding Out Trouble soon. When I do I’ll post it, and the first chapter of the book (due out in August), on my website. I saw a draft of the cover ages ago, and I have to say it’s one of my best! Hooray.
Until next week!

And I was sad that Chris left Project Runway, but really, human hair?
Loved your post on the Agatha nominations. It will give me a list to work of when my TBR pile gets a little smaller.

I think the kiss of death for Hopelessly Devoted girl was when she admitted she couldn’t let different kinds of food touch each other on her plate. How on earth is she supposed to survive a stiff competition like American Idol if she can’t handle food?
And while I don’t particularly like the guy, I’d love a drapey dress from Rami!

* While Theo can not admit to being surprised that Heather watches ‘American Idol’, he remains disappointed.

Lynn, I really liked Chris, too. So fun and funny. But yeah, the human hair??? I’m with you.
Sheila, you might be right about the touching food. I know some people that have the same quirk, but I don’t think they go around admitting it.
I’d definitely wear a Rami dress. I can’t say that for either of the other designers. BUT, I think Christian has the advantage because he’s more high fashion than the other two, but his age, I think, might be a disadvantage. And how funny is it that the local junior high has a Christian fan club? “Fierce!”

You mean you’re SUPPOSED to let the food on your plate touch? I’ve been doing it wrong all these years?
Looking forward to the book!

My friend comes over for dinner and she gets the sectioned toddler plate. And don’t even get her started when it comes to cake and ice cream! The horror!
I can only take so much American Idol. I’d like to smash Simon in the head, give Paula some meds to make her peppy and throttle Randy if he says “dawg” one more time. But I guess that’s the point of the show, eh?
Biggest Loser, now THAT’S a different story.

Heather, I was sad about the Grease girl, too, although my husband said her eyes looked a little Terminator-like.
I totally thought Chris was living in the monkey house (perfect Tim Gunn line, imo)
I like Leap Day, too. : )

Hello, Heather
I’ve always liked February 29th, too. Happy Leap Day! I’m sending out prayers and good vibrations to your friend Laura and the MS walk in St. Louis. I’m looking forward to seeing the first chapter of your book.

LOL, Marissa. I bet you love those Chinet plates with all the separate compartments! And I hope you’ll like the book!
Deb, for me, it’s Randy saying “dope”. As is, that’s dope. You were dope. ARGH!!!!!! And is it me or does Paula seem more lucid this year? I love Biggest Loser. I don’t like the kicking off part, but I love the feel-goodness of people achieving their goals. And I always tear up at the homecomings!

Shelley, I didn’t notice her eyes! So sad when she broke down, though. I probably would have done the same thing. And LOL on the monkey house. Chris was definitely living there. Creepy hair!!!!
Hi Diana! Thanks for the prayers and vibes–I know Laura appreciates them. And happy Leap Day to you, too. Hmm. I’m thinking this day calls for cake. Of course, I think every day calls for cake.
