I found myself recommending my moisturizer last week to a friend looking to try a new brand. And it got me thinking about all my favorite things. Everyday things, not grand, The Sound of Music things (though who doesn’t like whiskers on kittens and warm woolen mittens?).
The short list:
*Eat Your Peas notepads. Love the colors, the sayings, the size, everything.
*Yankee Candle tarts. My favorite is Vineyard, but Cinnamon Stick, Harvest, and Buttercream are also wonderful.
*Reynolds’ Release Non-Stick Foil. One of the best creations. Ever.
*Crisco No-Stick Spray (all versions). Ditto.
*Mary Kay’s Sunny Spice blush and Beach Bronze gloss. Fabulous. See our very own Debbie for ordering.
*Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer with sunscreen. Positively wonderful, especially for someone like me with sensitive skin.
*Neutrogena’s On The Spot. Because for some reason, even at my age, I get the occasional breakout. Haven’t found anything that works better.
*IceBreakers Wintergreen Mints. The very best.
*Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Magical!
*At-A-Glance daily planners. Mine is a school-year schedule, August-July. I don’t know what I’d do without it, and live in fear that I’ll lose it someday. Quell horror!
These are just a few of my favorite things. Feel free to add your favorite things to the list!

You know who else went around recommending notepads? Mark David Chapman.
Ringo Fears Heather.

You are too sweet, Heather! Thanks for the plug.
My short list for today:
* Dunkin’ Donuts coffee
* Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs
* Jammies
* MK’s tinted moisturizer SPF 15
* Mr Clean all purpose cleaner
* Every John Hughs movie made
* Hair bands of the 80’s
* bubble baths
* “Chick-Lit” books…..obviously!
There’s more but I won’t take up ALL the space on the blog. LOL

Bad Theo! Ugh, I just woke up. Will (maybe) BBL to answer Ms. Heather’s wonderful blog questions! It’s cloudy & looks like rain again here, and oh, I drank some champagne last night with my honey, (aka the Professor) after my first-ever regional writers meeting!

Hmmm Reeses Peanut Butter Eggs. The best part of Easter.
Favorites: I’m not really a brand name girl but I like my trashbags to have built in handles. I like spray oil and Olive Oil. (New to us this year.-My BF even commented last night on how he likes cooking with it. )
I used to live by my Franklin, but now at work I use the Outlook calendar (love the reminders) so I just have a writing calendar set up with my other outside of work activities blocked off.
And since I don’t shop, I’ve never seen the Eat Your Peas notepads that Theo is so afraid of. But a work friend did get me a small notebook that I keep in the car for those driving moments when I come up on a great idea. I love it.

Some of my favorite things:
My son’s face while he sleeps - he looks just like his father while sleeping and there is just something so special about it.
Clinique RepairWear for Eyes - I wish I could buy this by the vat.
Reading a good mystery (esp. one by a cozy chick) by a fire on a cold winter’s night.
My pink fuzzy slippers. They are very old lady-ish, but hey they are warm and they are comfortable.
The “Newest Member” gallery on my church’s website. Who doesn’t love pictures of newborns??
Bic Crystal pens in black. I buy these by the 100’s and have them all over my home, desk at work, in my purse, in my car, in my coat pocket. They are the only pen I truly like to use.
Hershey Nuggets w/Almonds and Toffee. My dear hubby knows this and of course, he picked up a big bag for me yesterday. He is just the sweetest.
Fresh flowers in a pretty vase, set out on a table. I can never arrange flowers in a pretty way, but my mom always has a vase of fresh flowers arranged so well.
Yankee Candle tarts in Lemon Lavender - what a clean fresh scent.
Happy Friday to all!

Deb, I forgot Dunkin’ Donuts lemon-filled. Mmmm. How’s the tinted moisturizer? I’ve been afraid to use them, fearing I’ll be orange before I know it.
Lynn, congrats on going to the meeting. May it be the first of many!
Lynn, trash bags with handles are a MUST. Spoiled, aren’t we?? And click on the link for Eat Your Peas and take a peek at the note pads. They’re nice (and not pricey, at $4.95)!

Cathy, I’m so with you on baby pictures. Love them. And I adore the Bic pens in blue! Have them stashed everywhere. Have you tried the Symphony toffee and almond? One of my favorites!!! Mmm.
Laura, the Life is Good clothes are adorable, but so pricey! I think I may know where to find you another wet jet…
JB, don’t you love the OPI names??? My favorite color right now: Ruble for your thoughts. Love it! And I’ve got little sprouts in my garden already, so spring HAS to be around the corner!!! I hope.

Finally, that worked! Oh, and I forgot the Swiffer duster. When my mom first got it for me, I tried it and yelled “Mine! Mine! Mine!”, and anyone who knows me knows I HATE to clean.
