Did you used to take those magazine Romance IQ tests and Personality Quizzes when you were younger? I think I faithfully filled them out once or twice, but the questions themselves were so odd, so alternate universe. Now days we have blog tags and My Space quizzes, and the questions are all so nutty, but that’s part of the fun.
Anyway, as you can probably tell I’m not in a blogging mood this morning. I can’t seem to think of anything very coherent to chat about, so in honor of January and its new beginnings, I thought I’d throw out a couple of just-for-fun questions, and you can answer or depart for blogs unknown where people are actually having intelligent conversation. Your choice.
1) What are you wearing right now?
2) Who was the last person you kissed — and when?
3) What’s the first line of the current book you’re reading?
4) Have you broken your New Year’s diet yet?
5) What’s the weather like there?
-
1. A green nightgown
2. My youngest nephew this past Sunday
3. Does this include the Acknowledgment, Preface, and Prologue sections? I’m not sure where to start.
4. What New Year’s Diet? I’m not on one.
5. Weather is cold…and it was flurrying earlier.

1-My going to corporate suit.
2-My honey at 4 this am when he left for work.
3-Miri woke to the sleepy bleating of a goat. (Princess Academy by Shannon Hale)
4-Started WW yesterday and had a 1/2 of a Reeses that was in the car to get it gone. And Pizza for lunch, so , yes.
5-St. Louis area, COLD. It’s suppose to rain and snow tonight/tomorrow.
And yes, I used to love those quizzes! Now at work there is an email one that goes through about every three months. Top four everything….

1) Jeans, button-down shirt, grubby zippered fleece sweatshirt (it’s warm!), socks with puppies on them.
2) My daughter before she left for school this morning.
3) Not currently reading anything. (GASP)
4) Not on a diet, but I did join the Y and have already missed two of my exercise classes since the New Year (and they’re only twice a week).
5) COLD! It’s currently 21*, but sunny, so that makes it almost tolerable. Almost.
What are your answers, Diana??

1) Sweater and jeans (for the first time in two years!)
2) My next door neighbor (female) who just brought me back a stack of books from the U.S.
3) Angry blood rose under Jerry’s tan as he wrenched the steering wheel sharply to avoid a collision with a car which careened madly around the turn.
4) I was doing so well, but the same neighbor who brought me the books also brought Milk Duds!!! What’s a person to do?
5) It is currently 42 degrees F., which is the coldest it’s been here in Bahrain in forty years! I love it!
First time I’ve hit the Cozy Chicks blog in a long time. Great to hear how you’re all doing.

4. Yes, once on Sunday, the 13th, our anniversary. I ate a dark chocolate truffle after dinner to celebrate. It was divine! Today is exactly 2 weeks since I started the new regime, er, lifestyle of heathly eating & exercise, AGAIN. Lost 9 lbs. so far.
5. Cold and rainy. May have our first snow of the year tonite or tomorrow. Brrrrr…..

Hey, Traci, let’s start with the fiction — so…prolog if the book’s got one.

Woohooo! The good thing about the immediate post-holiday diet is the fat comes off fast. It hasn’t had time to…er…settle. How’s that for a scientific take on it all?
-
Oh, mine had already “settled”, Diana! I quit smoking 2 1/2 yrs. ago, gradually gained back the 20 lbs. I’d previously lost, as I started the butt-in-chair writing, (meanwhile eventually quit exercising regularly) *then* packed on the holiday pounds. Sheesh, I’m the prime example of yo-yo-ing. But, onwards and upwards!

Congratulations on the pregancy, Foodie! Are you dealing with the whole morning sickeness thing? Yeeesh!

Sheesh, I’m the prime example of yo-yo-ing. But, onwards and upwards
Or onwards and downwards!
-
T-shirt etc
It’s that all important “etc.” eh, Rudolf? ;-D
-
Jan, you sound like you have an Audrey Hepburn thing going with the black slacks and scarf. Washington DC in the snow. It sounds so romantic.
-
Christmas stories. Nice, Traci! I like to read Christmas-based mysteries around the holidays — when I have time to read.
-
I amost answered “which one?” because I’m usually reading several books at once
Me too, Mary. The problem is I never seem to finish anything lately. It’s sort of disturbing.
-
I’m a little late with my reply, it’s tuesday the 22nd and I have 1 few minutes before the dryer goes off……
1. black cotton pants, long sleeved pink t-shirt with “Pink Ladies” written on it and white and pink flowered socks.

Oh, very cool! That’s what we love to hear!

Diana,
I just wish the book would resemble the story I know…I have seen the movie many times. I am now over half way through the book and it isn’t at all like the story I have seen. I hate that. This is one of the bad points of watching the movie before reading the book. Lesson learned…read the book first, then watch the movie. You’ll compare them no matter what, but at least you’ll be comparing them in the right order.

Traci, without fail, the more I love the book, the less I like the movie. It’s gotten to the point that I almost hate to hear one of my favorite books is being made into a film.

Diana, that is why I have yet to watch The DaVinci Code. I got a very clear piture in my mind as to who was going to play the main character and when I heard they cast Tom Hanks, I just couldn’t believe it. There are two books, though, that I would LOVE to see made into a movie.
Oh, and I did finally finish “The Christmas Shoes”. Good book, but unrecognizable. I’m half way through the sequel that was made into a movie and don’t recognize that either. Sure would be nice if they stayed true to the books.
